As a Certified Economic Disadvantage Woman Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), DBE, and SBA 8(a) company, April Murillo's entrepreneur spirit evolved at an early age. Her youth was spent growing up in the projects of Maricopa, Arizona with six siblings.
April learned at an early age about managing work, school and many extracurricular activities while maintaining her school's Honors Societies high level of expectations. Needless to say, she learned quickly that hard work was a necessity to obtaining her dreams.
Persistence and hard work in corporate America demonstrated to be the proving ground for April as she quickly advanced into management. This avenue provided April with an insight on how she wanted to do things differently when she would became her own boss.
The time was right for April to take that leap of faith in oneself and go after her own dreams. She built a marketing company from the ground up and had great success for seven years along with many accolades for her contributions to different organizations and to her community.
The height of the recession that hit us all in 2009 resulted in closing her doors and starting again. Not afraid to start over, she embarked on her new adventure and created a new company, AMT66, LLC in 2010, and at the same time went back to school full time all, while holding down a full time job. She was determined to secure her Bachelors in Science of Business degree with emphasis in Project Management. Although times were tough and there were occasions when she didn't have enough money for gas to get to class. April was resourceful and found ways to attend her classes.
April has a strong determination to succeed and a great passion for learning all she can, and thrives on challenges. As her company grows and thrives, April's focus is on delivering the highest quality services & products, while upholding the greatest integrity for her employees, vendors, and most importantly her customers.
